Title: Rat Problem
Rating: Hard R(PG-13 at some points)
Warning: language, naughty coffin sex(sort of), biting(yay) and Riley
Disclaimer: I unfortunately own nothing remotely related to Joss' work. Althought I really wish I did.
Summary: Buffy only had a small mission to do. Take pictures and report back to Giles. But of course, when a certain sexy blond vampire tags along...things don't always work out for the best...or do they? (I know cheesy summary)
A/N: This is only partially beta'd. I may not get the rest beta'd(unless someone volunteers)
After they ate, Spike paid, to Buffy’s surprise, and they headed on their way. “So where exactly are we in L.A.? ‘Cause gotta say; looking at buildings doesn’t help.” Buffy said.
Spike grinned. “Let’s find a phone booth.” Spike said. Buffy nodded.
They walked for about ten minutes before they came to a phone booth. Spike went inside and looked at the phonebook. “Okay, I got it.” Spike said.
Buffy came in and looked over his shoulder. “Oh! We’re not too far from Angel.” Buffy said.
She pulled him out the phone booth. “Come on. I want to sleep in a bed for once.” Buffy said. Spike grinned.
“Hold on. I can call for a hotel and a taxi.” Spike said.
“Hotel?” Buffy asked surprised.
He rolled his eyes.
Spike called a cab and then called information for a close by hotel. Once they got one they waited twenty minutes for their ride. Once there, they were able to get a room further away from the direction of the sun.
“Okay, so I got off the phone with my guy and he said he wasn’t sure of the exact area. But he gave me a generalization.” Giles said. Riley gave him a red pen. They had spread a map of L.A. out on the coffee table. Joyce was serving snacks and drinks as she listened to them. Giles took the pen and made a large circle around the docks area.
“That seems to be a lot of ground to cover to me.” Joyce said.
“It is. But he said it’s best to look for a large vehicle. And since we know about the coffins we may know how large.” Giles said.
“So…we can start looking for her in the morning.” Riley said.
“No, at night. Spike’s with her.” Giles said.
“Buffy would try to get away from Spike. She wouldn’t want to be around him much longer.” Riley said.
Giles sighed. “As much faith as I have in my Slayer. I am particularly sure that they will go after the men in the robes. Which means they would make a truce.” Giles said.
“Why would she make a truce with a demon? She’s the Slayer. I mean other than Angel, which I don’t understand; I see no point in her staying around him.” Riley said.
“Well, Buffy did have a truce with Spike before. When Angelus was around. They worked together to save the world. An-and Spike likes to fight.” Willow said.
Riley sighed. “Fine, we’ll look for them tomorrow night.” He said.
“Great. It would be best for everyone to get some sleep. We’ll meet back here at noon to set up a plan and leave soon after.” Giles said. As everyone got up to leave they said goodnight to Joyce.
I cannot believe they think that about Buffy…then again I’m more worried about her little vampire fetish. She says she doesn’t have one, but that doesn’t explain Angel and then Dracula. Riley thought as he got into his car and started it. They seem to have forgotten Spike’s little obsession with Buffy. But I see right through it. And although Buffy seems not to be interested, I can’t completely count on her to not go toward him. I know she loves me though, regardless of what.
